No. The agency is compensated by the carrier, so you are not paying an extra fee for our advice. What you get in return is someone comparing the market on your behalf and advocating for you when something goes wrong.
Yes, and it is one of the most useful things we do. Send us your current declarations page and we will read it properly — limits, deductibles, exclusions, endorsements — and tell you honestly whether it is doing the job. If it is, we will say so.
